WHAT YOU CAN DO LOCALLY

However you decide to spend your day, on or off site, we know you will have a great time.

A car is essential to get the most from your stay.

Albergaria-a-Velha, our closest town is only a 10-minute drive. Great for shopping, supermarkets, banks, coffee shops and affordable traditional restaurants.

Do you enjoy driving and finding? Then take the back roads over the mountains to Viseu and experience the spa towns of Luso and S. Pedro do Sul. Alternatively, explore the magnificent forest of Buçaco before visiting Coimbra, one of the oldest university cities in Europe.

There are wonderful experiences in the region, too many to detail: fish for bream, trout and barbell in the rivers; Vouga, Dão, or Paiva. If you enjoy adventure, take a canoe down the river Mondego from Penacova to Coimbra. Golfers: there is the challenging 18 hole course at the Montebelo Golf and Leisure Club, and a 9 hole course at Curia, both within an easy drive.

Below are a few suggestions for your visit. But however, you decide to spend your day, on or off-site, we know you will have a great time.
