ABOUT US

We are Tijmen and Chantal and our children Everly and Joe.

Together with our 2 cats "Ollie" and " Lola" we moved to Portugal the end of november 2022.

Portugal was a country where we never have been before. We always talked and dreamed about living in a different country than the Netherlands. Different happenings in the past few years made us to stand on firmer ground and live our dreams now and not later. At the end of May 2022 we decided to sell our house and see what kind of door this would open.

We went for a camping holiday in Portugal in august 2022 and went for a a house view at Casa do Cabeço.  

A snaking road from Chas leads us up and down trough the Eucalyptus forest crossing the beautiful river of Alombada to the end of the small village of Alombada. It was love on first sight. We toke over the comapany Vouga Retreats from the previcious owners and moved in our " new home " .

The house lays on top of the hill and offers beautifull views trough the forest. We have expended our family with a few new members, like our chickens and dog " Shae".

We all have a passion and love to be in the outdoors, being close to nature and travel off the beaten track. There is so much to discover in Portugal, it´s enlessly, and this is makes us fall in love at this place every day.
